Hey what’s a physicist doing wearing that APS t-shirt?

The APS Retro T-shirt in bright yellow with the original Society seal in green appeared in the very first episode of the popular sitcom–The Big Bang Theory. Although the Leonard character, played by Johnny Galecki, is not portraying a plant pathologist, at least the show is referring to science on prime time television! Leonard wore the APS shirt again in the second season. When either of the APS shirt episodes air, APS headquarters often gets e-mails from members telling us about spotting it.
