The purpose of this Multilingual Compendium of Plant Diseases, Volume Two, is to improve communication among scientists throughout the world, especially those concerned with crop production and crop protection. Its ultimate aim is to aid in increasing food production, primarily in the developing countries. Forty-three crops were selected for their importance in supplying food and/or for their economic value to the peoples of the world. The virus and nematode diseases chosen are some of the more damaging to these forty-tree hosts.
